Our supply chain for devices is shifting to 100% carbon-free electricity for Microsoft-related production
At least 89 key suppliers have already made the transition to carbon-free electricity, with more in progress.
To contribute to Microsoft's goal of 100% carbon-free electricity by 2030, 40% of our key devices suppliers have already transitioned to CFE.
We have transitioned 89 key devices suppliers, expanding CFE use to 392K MWh and avoiding 232K mtC02e in emissions.

More recycled materials
Surface USB4 Dock for Business contains a minimum of 55.2% recycled content.⁶
Surface USB4 Dock for Business contains more recycled materials than any previous Dock, including recycled tin, recycled gold and recycled plastic.⁷

[1] Surface USB4 Dock for Business is compatible with USB-C® devices. However, when connected, it operates at the speeds and capabilities of the USB-C port. USB-C/USB 3.2 connection supports one external display up to 4K at 60Hz (when supported by device and display). Or you can daisy chain more monitors, as described in the section on this page: Connect multiple monitors to devices without USB4/Thunderbolt 4.
